Ramazan is over and the 3 day Seker Bayramlar has begun. This is an Islamic religious holiday to celebrate the end of Ramazan. The children are dressed in new party clothes and everyone is celebrating with family and friends. Seker means sugar and so you must have sweets available for the children and visitors.
We have a home on a small complex of 14 villas, all of our neighbours are Turkish and today they invited us to celebrate with them. They were so charming and we did our best to speak Turkish to them. We ate borek and baklava, wishing them all Iyi Bayramlar. On leaving we shook hands with everyone and said Iyi Bayramlar, Allah asmarlidik. Good festival, may God remain with you.

Thank you. I love to write about my sunny holidays and usually they are to Datca! We sometimes go elsewhere and tonight I am in Uzumlu near Fethiye. Sorry to all those in Uzumlu, it is nice here but I still prefer Datca.
